Current Openings:

CNC Programmer/Operator

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated CNC Programmer/Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for part programming, tool selection, as well as job setup and operation in a small-lot machining/R&D environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in understanding technical drawings and sketches as well as have a strong foundation in CNC turning; Mazak and Okuma conversational programming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work from complex prints to program and machine parts of various materials (primarily stainless steel and common plastics) on our Haas vertical mills and Mazak CNC turning centers.
  • Set and adjust work/tool offsets as necessary.
  • Independently select and set up tooling and fixtures/jaws.
  • Monitor the run of parts in cycle and after completion to ensure specifications and tolerances are met.
  • Proficiency in using and understanding all common machine shop measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauge, indicators, ID/OD micrometers, etc.
  • Assist in training and mentoring peers as necessary.
  • Other duties as required by Production Manager.

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical school certification a plus
  • 5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience; primary proficiency in CNC turning.
  • Strong knowledge of lathe and mill tooling/inserts.
  • Be able to properly follow verbal instructions as well as interpret technical drawings/sketches.
  • Work well with others and collaborate on cross-departmental projects.

Electro-Mechanical Assembler

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced, skilled ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER to join our manufacturing team. Regular hours for this position are 7 am -3 pm, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities include:

  • performing wiring, troubleshooting and debugging a variety of electrical subassemblies of intricate design;
  • working with PLCs;
  • assembling electrical boxes, mechanical components and pneumatic subassemblies of complex machines.

Required qualifications:

  • 5+ years assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in working with a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, bandsaws, belt sanders.
  • Basic understanding of simple machine shop measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic theories and practices including complete assembly of electrical enclosures, simple mechanical subassemblies and pneumatics subassemblies from assembly prints, bills of materials, and work instructions;
  • Ability to work from prints, sketches, and specs, and verbal instructions;
  • Frequent standing, bending, bending/stooping;
  • A high school diploma or the equivalent; technical school or short term trades training is a plus.

Production Planner/Scheduler

We are currently searching for an experienced Production Planner/Scheduler to assist the Production Manager in planning, scheduling and controlling the flow of materials through the storeroom and manufacturing departments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Issue and schedule work orders to meet scheduled completion dates. Maintain up-to-date capacity plan and dispatch lists for machine shop work centers.
  • Assist in planning requirements for parts orders, subassemblies, and various machine builds. Keep production manager advised of all rescheduling necessary to maintain current completion dates.
  • Assist manufacturing technician in maintaining updated routing files to ensure correct processing of work orders in machine shop.
  • Ensure that all castings, alter parts, and/or other types of components are in stock or on order to cover current requirements.
  • Control flow of outside processing and ensure proper receipts are maintained for billing purposes.
  • Assist in receiving and distributing incoming materials and parts to fulfil current requirements.
  • Regularly follow up with the Purchasing Department to ensure that commercially purchased components remain on schedule.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Required qualifications: 

  • High School diploma plus related specialized schooling, equivalent to 2-3 years’ trades training.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Production Planning, Inventory Control, MRP and Capacity Planning utilizing a computerized manufacturing system is desired.
