Current Openings:

Production Planner/Scheduler

We are currently searching for an experienced Production Planner/Scheduler to assist the Production Manager in planning, scheduling and controlling the flow of materials through the storeroom and manufacturing departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Issue and schedule work orders to meet scheduled completion dates. Maintain up-to-date capacity plan and dispatch lists for machine shop work centers.
  • Assist in planning requirements for parts orders, subassemblies, and various machine builds. Keep production manager advised of all rescheduling necessary to maintain current completion dates.
  • Assist manufacturing technician in maintaining updated routing file to ensure correct processing of work orders in machine shop.
  • Ensure that all castings, alter parts, and/or other types of components are in stock or on order to cover current requirements.
  • Control flow of outside processing and ensure proper receipts are maintained for billing purposes.
  • Assist in receiving and distributing incoming materials and parts to fill current requirements.
  • Regularly follow up with Purchasing Department to ensure that commercially purchased components remain on schedule.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications: 

Candidates must possess a High School degree plus related specialized schooling, equivalent to 2-3 years’ trades training. A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Production Planning, Inventory Control, MRP and Capacity Planning utilizing a computerized manufacturing system is desired.

Quality Control Inspector

We have a career opportunity available for an experienced and skilled Quality Control Inspector.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting work in process and finished manufactured machined parts.
  • Performing a wide range of quality assurance operations as necessary to measure total quality of parts to drawings specifications.
  • Keeping all QC equipment in calibrated state.
  • Completing and maintaining all required time and inspector reports/logs.
  • Leading daily Materials Review Board (MRB) meetings.
  • Being part of our Internal Audit Team for ISO9001:2015 Quality Standard.

Qualifications: 

Candidates are to possess knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods, the ability to read complex mechanical drawings and properly use and maintain a variety of precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in related machine shop quality control inspection is required, and an Engineering degree is preferred.

Machinist Trainee/Intern

Responsibilities: Undergo training with our experienced machinists to learn how to set up and operate various pieces of machine shop equipment.  This includes waterjet cutting, manual and CNC mills/lathes, surface and cylindrical grinders, as well as honing. The candidate will also be responsible for learning how to use measuring tools to check their own work as well as learning how to read and interpret technical drawings and sketches to adhere to Cozzoli’s high quality standards.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; have excellent mechanical skills/aptitude; and the ability & desire to do precision work. Previous experience with lathes or mills is a preferred, but not required. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50lbs and work overtime when necessary.

CNC Machinist / Programmer

CNC Machinist/Programmer Job Summary

We are currently seeking a highly experienced, reliable, and motivated CNC machinist/programmer to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for part programming, tool selection, as well as job setup and operation in a small lot machining/R&D environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in understanding technical drawings and sketches as well as have a strong foundation in CNC turning; Mazak and Okuma conversational programming experience is a plus.

CNC Machinist/Programmer responsibilities:

  • Work from complex prints to program and machine parts of various materials (primarily stainless steel and common plastics) on our Haas vertical mills and Mazak CNC turning centers.
  • Set and adjust work/tool offsets as necessary.
  • Independently select and set up tooling and fixtures/jaws.
  • Monitor the run of parts in cycle and after completion to ensure that specifications and tolerances are met.
  • Be proficient in using and understanding all common machine shop measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauge, indicators, ID/OD micrometers, etc.
  • Train and mentor peers, when necessary
  • Other duties as required by Production Manager

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical school certification a plus
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience; primary proficiency in CNC turning.
  • Strong knowledge of lathe and mill tooling/inserts
  • Be able to properly follow verbal instructions as well as interpret technical drawings/sketches.
  • Work well with others and collaborate on cross-departmental projects.
